Program Fee & Discounts

The basic program fee for a 3-weeks session is approximately Euro 2700 (USD 3150.)

Discounts:

  • If you participate in two sessions, the discount for your program fee is 10%.
    (Euro 2700 or USD 3150 x (100%-10%) x 2 sessions = Euro 4860 or USD 5670)
  • If you participate in all three sessions, the discount for your program fee is 20%.
    (Euro 2700 or USD 3150 x (100%-20%) x 3 sessions = Euro 6480 or USD 7560)
  • If you participate with a friend, the discount for your program fee is 10%.
    (Euro 2700 or USD 3150 x (100%-10%) x 1 sessions = Euro 2430 or USD 2835)
  • If you participate with two or more friends, the discount for your program fee is 20%.
    (Euro 2700 or USD 3150 x (100%-20%) x 1 sessions = Euro 2160 or USD 2520)
  • If you participate in two sessions with two or more friends, the discount for your program fee is 20%.
    (Euro 2700 or USD 3150 x (100%-20%) x 2 sessions = Euro 4320 or USD 5040)
  • If you participate in three sessions with two or more friends, the discount for your program fee is 20%.
    (Euro 2700 or USD 3150 x (100%-20%) x 3 sessions = Euro 6480 or USD 7560)

What the Fees / Sponsorships Pay for:

  • Housing
  • Meals
  • Transportation during the Tour
  • Program Staffing
  • Regional Learning related expenses such as entrance fees or for guides
  • Access to all Planned Community Partner Resources such as Facilities, Speakers, Special Guests, as well as Activities with Businesses, Politicians and Organizations
  • All Program Content
  • All Operational Expenses

What the Fees / Sponsorships Do Not Pay for:

  • Transportation from your home to the designated meeting place in Japan and then from a designated place at the end of the tour in Japan back to your home
  • All expenses during break periods between programs as well as transportation to the next program meeting place
  • International health insurance for the tour time
  • Any at-home expenses that you might choose or need to maintain while on tour; for example – car payments, school loans, mortgages, etc
  • Extra spending money for souvenirs, socializing, shopping, replenishing toiletries, etc. (The program has some personal free days in some cities.) We recommend about US$ 50 or 40 Euro per week
  • A small but meaningful or creative gift for each of your host families
  • There are currently over 60 countries or regions that do not require a visa for travel in Japan for less than 3 months. Please plan on visa related expenses if your country is one that requires a visa
  • If you do not have a passport, you will need to purchase one before the tour begins
